What is the Melanage Skin Brightening System?
The Melanage Skin Brightening System is a superficial chemical peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. It entails application of a cream masque and an at-home regimen. There is no pain and little-to-no irritation during the application of the masque. Typically, the irritation level on the following 3-4 days is more like a sunburn.
How does it work?
The Melanage 1 Masque is applied during an office visit where it is compounded freshly to ensure its potency and reliability. The masque is removed by the patient after a required length of time depending on skin type. Patients leave the office with this masque on their face. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Melanage products that are provided following masque removal.
What results can I expect?
Results will vary but generally patients will see improvement in skin texture and appearance. Although most patients experience superficial peeling of the skin, not every patient will notice this. If you do not notice actual peeling, please know that you are still receiving all the benefits of The Melanage Skin Brightening System. Proper skin evaluation by your skincare specialist prior to your peel is important and will help predict the outcome.
Who should not be treated?
The Melanage Skin Brightening System SHOULD NOT be used on patients with active cold sores , skin with open wounds, sunburn, excessively sensitive skin, dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea in the area to be treated. Inform your medical professional if you have any history of herpes simplex, allergies, rashes, or other skin reactions, or may be sensitive to any of the components. This peel is not recommended if you have taken Accutane within the past year, or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The Melanage Skin Brightening System should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding (lactating) women.
Sculptra® is an injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial fat loss by replacing lost volume. Facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, is the loss of fat beneath the skin, which can result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Sculptra provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.
The results from Sculptra® are not immediate but they are long-lasting. In a clinical study, effects lasted for up to two years after the first treatment session in most patients. No skin testing is required.
Sculptra is used to enhance facial volume including but not limited to , the temples, cheeks, facial fat pads, smile lines, chin lines, and marionette lines.
Sculptra can not be used around the eyes and the hands
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra Aesthetic is a new type of facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. It helps correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles, and folds that appear with aging by replacing lost collagen.
How does Sculptra work?
Collagen is a key structural component that keeps skin youthful looking and smooth. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases, and you may begin to see wrinkles and folds. Sculptra Aesthetic works to correct these wrinkles and folds as it replaces lost collagen, which can help provide a refined, more youthful looking appearance.
How many treatments should I expect?
On average, three injection sessions are needed over a period of a few months. The number of injection sessions, the amount of product used and the number of injections per session vary from person to person.
What can I expect after my treatment?
You can bruise from the treatment and have a small amount of redness at the injection sight. Both of these can be covered easily with makeup. You will need to massage the areas treated after your treatment. Your practitioner will advise you on how to do this. You can go back to your normal activities immediately following your treatment.
With microneedling, the skin shifts its natural repair mechanism into high gear and starts producing collagen and elastin to repair these micro-perforations. The self-repairing property of the skin is a 100% natural form of skin renewal from the inside out. The advantage of microneedling compared to other treatments is that it not only activates cell regeneration, it also enhances the absorption of active ingredients of RP Complex into the skin during the treatment before the skin closes.
Your skin becomes firmer and regains elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced, pores become finer, circulation is stimulated and the overall condition of the skin improves.
Microneedling treats fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, surgical scarring, burns, stretch marks, and firms and tightens most body areas.
