Brow Lift Procedure Details

During a typical brow lift procedure, a discreet incision is placed behind the hairline and around the ears, allowing Dr. Stephens full access to the underlying forehead structure underneath the skin with minimal scarring. For patients who are bald or have thinning hair, these incisions will be adjusted accordingly. In order to tighten and firm the brow, Dr. Stephens will surgically remove tissues and adjust the muscles. Excess skin on the forehead is trimmed and the remaining skin is re-draped. The incision sites are then sutured or clipped.

What is the Recovery Like?

After surgery, your new forehead contours will be protected with gauze or bandages. Initial wound healing can take anywhere from 10-14 days, and the sutures will be removed once you’ve healed properly.

Although most patients are able to return to work and normal activities after two weeks, everyone is different. During your consultation with us, we will advise you on how much time you should realistically take off work to ensure proper healing. Brow lift results are usually visible at three weeks and will look better and better until results are reached at approximately four months.
