DERMAPLANING Treatment Details

Before your treatment begins, we will cleanse and prep your skin. You won’t need any type of anesthetic because dermaplaning is non-invasive, doesn’t use chemicals, and is very comfortable. Your specialist will use a small blade directly on your skin. As this blade gently passes over your dermis, it will remove fine vellus hairs (peach fuzz) as well as exfoliate the skin. Dirt, oil, and debris will be effectively removed. Treatment time is 45-50 minutes. Results are instant, and you’ll find that makeup can be applied more smoothly afterward and your topical skincare products will be more effective because they can reach more deeply.

What Results to Expect

Dermaplaning doesn’t require any downtime, but you may have some redness in your facial skin for the rest of the day. Because your pores are open, we recommend refraining from wearing makeup during this time. In addition, over the following weeks after your treatment, it’s particularly important to wear sunscreen on your face whenever you go outside.

Although you will feel and see great results after just one dermaplaning session, optimal results will require dermaplaning every 2-4 weeks.

Does dermaplaning cause acne?

Dermaplaning is an excellent option for all skin types, but not all skin conditions. If you have rosacea, active acne, or sensitive skin, we don’t recommend dermaplaning.

Just the opposite. Dermaplaning actually prevents acne because it exfoliates the skin, which clears out the pores.

Don’t worry. Peach fuzz is so soft and thin that dermaplaning has no effect on how it regrows.
