Juvéderm filler has a gel-like consistency. It’s a hyaluronic acid-based filler, which means that it retains water, helping your lips to remain full, supple, smooth, and hydrated. This lip filler is ideal for those who want to reshape the contours of their lips, define the Cupid’s bow, or correct asymmetry in their lips. Usually one syringe of Juvéderm is enough per lip augmentation appointment. Once treated in several points, the lips are gently massaged to “sculpt” the filler. The results are instant, with the lips looking fuller and smoother.

Restylane is a popular, effective choice for lip augmentation. Restylane helps to restore your body’s hyaluronic acid, giving your lips more moisture, volume, and elasticity. With both Juvéderm or Restylane lip augmentation, you can expect minor bruising, redness and swelling. You may also feel some lumpiness. All of these side effects will resolve within a week. There’s no downtime, and you can get right back to your life and usual activities once the treatment is complete. Results look and feel natural, lasting for up to a year before the lip filler is gradually and naturally processed by the body.
Patients may want more fillers after the initial swelling has subsided. Building up over time with more lip filler, especially for those with naturally thin lips, can be best achieved by injecting no more than one syringe per month.
