DYSPORT® TREATMENTS
Particularly good for correcting crow’s feet and forehead creases, Dysport is an injectable treatment that causes muscle contractions to become weaker — thereby temporarily stopping them from being able to create wrinkles. Dysport is very similar to Botox, but tends to work more quickly.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR DYSPORT®?
Most individuals who want to improve the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles are excellent candidates for Dysport. Our goal is to listen to each patient and discuss a treatment plan that is individualized for each person. In general, those who make excellent candidates for this treatment are men and women who:
Are 18 years old or older
Are in overall good health
Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
Do not have allergies to cow’s milk or the ingredients of Dysport
Don’t have any kind of neurological disorder
Are not taking any kind of medication for muscle spasms

DYSPORT® TREATMENT DETAILS
Dysport works by temporarily stopping communication from the nerves to the muscles. When the muscle cannot be “told” to make a wrinkle, they smooth out. Just like Botox, Dysport treatments are quick, simple, and convenient. Your skin will be cleansed and prepped, and then we will administer the injections. The amount and locations of the injections will depend on how deep your wrinkles are and the strength of your muscles. The needle is very fine, and most patients find the injections to be very tolerable. It feels like a small pinch. Once your injections are finished, you’ll be asked to make different facial expressions so that the product disperses correctly.
WHAT RESULTS TO EXPECT
Results from Dysport are noticeable within 2-3 days after your treatment and can last up to six months.
AFTER YOUR DYSPORT® TREATMENT
After a Dysport treatment, you’ll be able to return to most activities. However, for the best results, we encourage you to refrain from the following:
Applying makeup (for the rest of the day)
Activities that cause your head to face downward (for the rest of the day)
Lying down or reclining (for the rest of the day)
Drinking alcohol (for 24 hours)
Rubbing or scrubbing your face (for 48 hours)
Taking blood thinners (for 48 hours)
Sweating, including hot yoga, hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, baths, etc. (for 48 hours)
Undergoing any type of tanning or facials (for one week)
Performing exercise (for one week)
